Today, you’ll experience the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where humans, livestock, and wildlife coexist in a unique harmony. As you journey through this extraordinary region, you’ll enjoy stunning views before heading towards Serengeti National Park.
The southern plains of the Serengeti are famous for the great migration, which sees approximately 1.7 million wildebeest, 800,000 zebras, and 200,000 Thomson gazelles using the area as a calving ground during migration periods. The high levels of calcium and potassium in the plains make it a prime spot for milk production during this critical time.
Along the way, enjoy a scenic drive with opportunities for game viewing, before arriving at your campsite for dinner and a restful evening.
Main Destination: Central Serengeti National Park
Day 3: Game Drives and Excursions in Serengeti National Park
Today, enjoy a full day of excursions in the Serengeti, with both morning and afternoon game drives departing from the camp. Your journey will take you to Seronera, the heart of the Serengeti, known for its network of rivers that provide a reliable water source, attracting wildlife year-round.
This area offers an excellent opportunity to spot the Big Five—lions, elephants, buffalo, rhinos, and leopards—along with an abundance of other wildlife. You’ll encounter giraffes, impalas, warthogs, and hippos near the permanent mud pools and shaded areas. Keep an eye out for cheetahs, hyenas, and jackals as you explore this wildlife-rich region.
After a day filled with incredible animal sightings, return to your camp for a relaxing evening.

Often referred to as the 8th Wonder of the World, the Ngorongoro Crater is a vital refuge for a variety of wildlife. You’ll have the chance to see large bulls of elephants, the endangered black rhinos, and vast herds of wildebeest and zebras. Other species that call this crater home include Thomson and Grant gazelles, hippos, African Cape buffalo, prides of lions, hyenas, serval cats, and jackals (both golden and black-backed). The crater is also home to nearly 400 species of birds, making it a paradise for birdwatchers.
