Day 1 - Safari Begins: Arrival to Arusha and transfer to Tarangire National Park
Arusha, Tanzania’s safari capital, is where your adventure begins. Your expert driver-guide will meet you in the city, and together you will set off towards Tarangire National Park, a hidden gem known for its vast elephant herds, diverse birdlife, and unspoiled safari atmosphere. Named after the Tarangire River, which serves as the park’s lifeline, this reserve is a haven for wildlife, offering excellent game viewing opportunities.
As you traverse the park, you’ll witness majestic baobab trees, grazing zebras, and an array of predators lurking in the bush. Enjoy a packed lunch in the wilderness, soaking in the raw beauty of nature.
By late afternoon, you will journey to Africa Safari Lake Manyara, where you can unwind and refresh before indulging in dinner under the stars. Your night will be spent in a cozy canvas accommodation, drifting off to sleep with the sounds of the wild surrounding you.
Day 2 - Safari Game Drive Ngorongoro Crater
Rise early today to ensure a prompt descent into the legendary Ngorongoro Crater, one of the most breathtaking natural wonders in Africa. As you enter the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you’ll be captivated by the vast landscapes and rich biodiversity that surround you.
Reaching the crater’s rim, the panoramic views will leave you in awe. This 3-million-year-old volcanic caldera, covering 20 square kilometers, is the largest unbroken volcanic caldera in the world. Its unique ecosystem and enclosed nature make it a wildlife paradise, offering one of the best chances to spot the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and the rare black rhino. Alongside them, hyenas, zebras, and large herds of buffalo add to the dramatic safari experience.
After an unforgettable game drive inside the crater, you will journey to Africa Safari South Serengeti, where you can relax, reflect, and enjoy a well-deserved night’s rest in the heart of Tanzania’s wilderness.
Day 3 - Safari Game Drive Serengeti National Park
Prepare for a long yet rewarding drive as you journey from the Lake Ndutu region, through the Central and Northern Serengeti, exploring some of the most diverse landscapes in Tanzania.
As you traverse the iconic Serengeti plains, expect to encounter an abundance of wildlife—from towering giraffes gracefully feeding on acacia trees to zebras and wildebeest moving across the vast savannah. Every turn in the road presents an opportunity to witness the untamed beauty of this 14,000+ square-kilometer wilderness.
Upon arrival at Africa Safari Maasai Boma lodge, you will have already experienced the magic of game driving in one of the world’s most celebrated national parks. Unwind, soak in the serene atmosphere, and prepare for another day of incredible wildlife encounters.
Day 4 - Safari Game Drive Northern Serengeti
After breakfast at Africa Safari Serengeti Ikoma, set off on an unforgettable game drive through the Northern Serengeti, a region renowned for its rugged beauty and rich wildlife.
Your journey begins on dirt tracks winding through shrubby savannah, home to impalas, giraffes, and warthogs. As you progress northward, the landscape transforms into rolling grasslands, meandering rivers, rocky hills, and dense acacia woodlands—a perfect habitat for a wide range of wildlife.
In the Lobo area, expect to encounter some of the Serengeti’s most iconic inhabitants, including elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, and hyenas, as well as herds of buffalo, topis, Thomson’s gazelles, and elands. Depending on the movement of the Great Migration, you may even witness vast herds of wildebeest and zebras crossing the terrain in their timeless cycle of survival.
Unlike the bustling central and southern Serengeti, the northern section offers a more exclusive and tranquil safari experience, with fewer vehicles on the road. The pristine wilderness enhances your chances of intimate wildlife encounters, making this a truly remarkable part of your adventure.
As the day winds down, exit the park through Klein’s Gate, where another cultural treasure awaits—the Maasai people in their homeland. Here, you’ll spend the night at Africa Safari Maasai Boma, a modern take on a traditional Maasai earth house, complete with an en-suite bathroom and a king-size bed. Enjoy a hearty dinner under the vast African sky, reflecting on the breathtaking landscapes and unforgettable wildlife sightings of the day.
