Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After an early breakfast, we depart for Tarangire National Park, named after the Tarangire River, which is the only water source for wildlife in the region during the dry season. The park features dense vegetation, including elephant grass and acacia woodlands. Tarangire is famous for its large elephant herds, often seen congregating near the river. You may also spot giraffe, bushbuck, and hartebeest, which attract predators like lions and leopards. The park is also home to the highest number of breeding bird species anywhere in the world. Known for having Tanzania's largest elephant population, Tarangire is the best place to observe these magnificent creatures, from adorable calves to imposing bulls. After a packed lunch, we continue to our accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay at Eileen's Tree Inn or a similar lodge.
Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater to Serengeti National Park
After an early breakfast, we head to Ngorongoro Crater, a true natural wonder. When you first glimpse the crater, it feels like stepping into a forgotten world. Here, you'll have the chance to spot the endangered black rhino and large prides of lions. The crater was formed millions of years ago when a massive volcano erupted and collapsed in on itself. It is renowned not only for its geological marvels but also for being a sanctuary with some of the highest concentrations of large mammal populations in Africa. The descent into the crater is an adventure in itself, and once on the crater floor, you will be surrounded by herds of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, and more than 500 species of birds. This is one of the best places to spot the elusive black rhino, often seen grazing on the open grasslands. After a packed lunch, we continue our journey to Serengeti National Park. Dinner and overnight at Embalakai Camp.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park to Karatu
After an early breakfast, we will embark on a thrilling game drive around 6:30 am, spending 6 to 7 hours exploring the vast Serengeti. This iconic park is home to a stunning variety of wildlife, including impala, buffalo, crocodile, and hippo. However, it is most famous for its great migration, where massive herds of zebras (250,000), wildebeest (1.5 million), and antelope (500,000) traverse the plains in search of food and water. The migration’s route is influenced by rainfall, and its patterns change each year. Aside from the migrating herds, you’ll have the opportunity to spot predators such as leopards, cheetahs, and lions hunting in their natural environment. Around 2:00 pm, we begin our drive back to Karatu, where we will check in at our carefully selected mid-range partner lodge. After dinner in an excellent restaurant, relax by the pool or enjoy a digestif by the fire, under the vast African sky. Our comfortable quarters await, offering a peaceful night to dream of wild adventures. Overnight at Eileen's Tree Inn.

Day 5: Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha
After an early breakfast at the lodge, we will embark on a short drive to Lake Manyara National Park. Located 120 km west of Arusha, this small yet diverse park is named after the soda lake that occupies about seventy percent of its land. The lake, which fluctuates in size due to seasonal flooding, is home to thousands of flamingos and more than 500 other bird species. During our exploration of the park, we may encounter monkeys, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffalo, and elephants. With some luck, we might even spot lions lounging on trees. The park is known for its varied landscapes, ranging from open grassy plains to primate-filled woodlands and baobab-dotted cliffs. After enjoying a packed lunch, we will return to Arusha, bringing our unforgettable adventure to a close. You will arrive in time for your flight back home or a flight to Zanzibar.
